What is the Grange? The National Grange is our Nation's oldest agricultural organization, with grassroots units established in 3600 local communities in 37 states.

Why was the Grange started? It was formed in the years following the Civil War to unite private citizens in imroving the economic and social position of the nation's farm population. Over the past 135+ years, it has evolved to include non-rural families and communities as well.

What do I gain by becoming a member? The Grange offers it's members:

  • a friendly, family oriented organization that provides membership at any age
  • an opportunity to join with others (individuals & organizations) to improve communities
  • a chance to influence local, state and national laws
  • a social gathering place for activities & recreation
  • a place to develop skills for a lifetime
